LIMA — Two boys were arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred at about 10:40 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of North Collett Street, according to a report from the Lima Police Department.
Kobe Bryant, 17, and Rakeem Jones, 15, both of Lima, have been taken into custody and charged with delinquency by discharging a firearm in a prohibited place, a third-degree felony.
The incident began as a verbal argument and ultimately involved both sides firing multiple shots at each other, police officials said. Stray bullets struck houses and vehicles in the area, though no one was shot during the exchange of gun fire. Police officials said the incident was being looked at as an “ongoing, gang-related investigation.”
