LIMA — The National President of the Fraternal Order of Police told the crowd at a police memorial service Wednesday he understands the worry a parent of a police officer has every day his son leaves for work.
While he spent nearly 30 years working as a police officer in South Carolina, Chuck Canterbury said he never worried until his son became a police officer. “I understand the fear of that late night phone call,” he said.
