LIMA — A jury convicted a 54-year-old man Friday of kidnapping and three counts of rape in crimes involving two women that were solved when his DNA was compared to samples in a state database.
Walter Robinson will face a maximum penalty of 30 to 40 years when he is sentenced, which is scheduled for July 13 in Allen County Common Pleas Court.
The jury was unable to reach a decision on another count of kidnapping and rape. Assistant Allen County Prosecutor Terri Kohlrieser said she will have to consider her options before making a decision on whether to try Robinson again on those two charges.
