LIMA — An investigation into passing bad checks led to an arrest Monday afternoon.
At about 5 p.m., officers from the Lima Police Department arrested an unidentified suspect after a traffic stop at the intersection of Woodlawn Avenue and Spencerville Road. According to Lima Police Lt. Andy Green, the sergeant he spoke with said the arrest took place without incident, with no guns drawn and no chase necessary.
The name of the suspect was not released, as the report has not yet been filed. The suspect was determined by Lima Police Department detectives before the traffic stop, and the suspect was involved in two or three different check cases, according to Green.
