LIMA — A Lima man facing drug-trafficking charges that conceivably could put him in prison for the rest of his life saw his request for a reduction in bond denied during a Wednesday court hearing.
Edward Moore Jr., 44, and his court-appointed defense attorney also made a vow to Allen County Common Pleas Court Judge Jeffrey Reed to attempt to work together in a more cohesive fashion than has been evident to date as the defendant’s case moves forward.
A motion was filed with the court on July 30 requesting a hearing on the representation of Moore by Attorney Greg Dononue. The defendant on Wednesday complained to Reed about Donohue’s demeanor and an overall lack of communication with his attorney. Donohue said Moore had been difficult to work with during their meetings, as well.
