LIMA — A Lima man pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of robbery with a gun specification Tuesday in Allen County Common Pleas Court concerning an incident that occurred at One Stop Shop Marathon at 4170 N. West St. on Dec. 6.
Richard Stoneburner, 27, answered “yes sir” to each explanation of rights from Judge David Cheney and otherwise revealed no emotion. A presentence investigation was ordered and Stoneburner is scheduled for sentencing at 9 a.m. June 28. He was remanded back into custody at the Allen County Jail after the court appearance.
In exchange for his plea, his charge was reduced from aggravated robbery with a gun specification, a first-degree felony. The reduced charge of robbery with an gun specification has a maximum eight-year sentence on the robbery charge and a mandatory three-year sentence on the gun specification. Stonebrunner will be eligible for judicial release after completion of the mandatory sentence.
