LIMA — The teen sought as a “person of interest” in the shooting death of a 16-year-old Lima boy, this week turned himself in to the Lima Police Department on Thursday afternoon.
Daquan Burse, 18, turned himself into Lima Police custody Thursday afternoon. Burse was accompanied by several family members as he surrendered to police. He expressed his intent to fully cooperate with the investigation, according to Lima Police Det. Steve Stechschulte.
The shooting victim was identified as Dasmine D. Omosikeji. He was found collapsed on the ground after officers were called to the intersection of Collett and North Streets on Tuesday night. Officers discovered the shooting took place in an apartment in the 900 block of West Wayne Street, approximately a block away from where he was found.
